Maps Here

WHERE:    Clague Park – 3//4 south of I-90 and about 3 miles north of I-480 in Westlake, OH -- at the corner of Clague Rd and Hilliard Rd. .  Westlake is about 10 miles west of downtown Cleveland.

(See the enclosed map.  Note:  If you are arriving from the south using I-480, you will pass a very small park also called Clague Park that is in the city of North Olmsted, OH.  This is about 1 ˝ miles south of I-480.  You may not see the sign since it is small and on the left side of the road.  In addition, this park is not visible from the road)

The cabin is toward the rear of the park.

WHEN:      Saturday, February 16, 2008

TIME:        10:00 AM

Again this year, we have arranged the use of the same city owned cabin (3,000 sq ft open area) with a kitchen and sufficient tables for swap or sale items.  Parking is available immediately next to the cabin.  The place is large enough to accommodate 150 people and heated to 72 degrees.  The rules of the city state that the keys cannot be picked up until 9:30 AM, so the building will not be open until about 9:45.  However, there will be a few of us in the parking lot and ready to open the doors for an on time start.  Jeff (WA8SAJ) usually brings some goodies and Bill (K8DBN) & Ron (W8KYD) will each bring a coffee urn.  A few extra goodies or doughnuts are always welcome.

Boatanchors started as a “Get Together”, but has also turned into a mini-swap.  There are plenty of tables available and just about everybody knows each other.  The place is large enough for a swap and small enough that you can walk around and join in all the good talk and not worry about any treasures available for swap.

If you know someone interested in vintage AM, CW or SWL, please bring them along.  As in the past, dealers and profiteers are NOT welcome and will be turned away.

There is no charge for this activity, but a few dollars in the “Coffee Can” would be appreciated to cover the cabin rent, postage, coffee, etc.  Someone should be monitoring 146.52 on the road, or in the cabin.  The key word here is should!!
