Lake Erie Boatanchors Group

The Lake Erie Boatanchor group is a bunch of ham radio enthusiasts that have a huge appreciation for old ham radio equipment. There is no organization and no membership.

The meetings that we have are NOT hamfests! I wish to emphasize that. The meeting is a place to see friends and bring any old ham radio equipment that you wish to see passed on for use by someone else. All equipment exchanged at our meetings is done without regard to what the equipment may be worth on an internet auction site. We simply expect that you will personally use any equipment that you acquire at our meetings. Reselling any of this equipment and profiting from our generosity is strongly frowned upon and asking Ebay prices for equipment that you bring will not be welcomed.

FT-243 Crystals needed for AM & CW 40 & 75 meters

Hello Group, Dan N8ETQ recently fixed my Globe Scout deluxe and now She’s smokin’ hot and ready to go on the air in the AM Mode. Speaking of Dan, he’s a great tech, bring him your gear, he does a great job…

I’ve been using my Globe Scout for years on CW, but never on AM. Now I’ve got a mic and I’m ready to get my feet wet on AM.

SO…… does anyone have a spare xtal for  40 or 75 meter AM  I could buy?  I’d like something around 7290/1/2/3/4/5 40M And around 3885 for 75M .

Also, as far as CW goes, all my CW xtals go back to my high school Novice days when I ran a DX-60 and a RattShack DX-160B rcvr. My 40m CW xtals are fine (7105/08/10/15/20), but my 80M CW xtals are all for around the 3700 range, + or minus… Nobody is there Anymore! I used to love getting my old gear on 3705, 3710, 3715 etc..I’d like to get a couple of 80 meter xtals for down at the bottom part of The band..

If you can help me, then please e-mail me
